At WhapplePay, we prioritize your privacy and control over your personal data. This page explains how you can:
Request deletion of specific personal data
Permanently delete your WhapplePay account


1. Requesting Data Deletion

You have the right to request the removal of certain personal data stored by WhapplePay (e.g., transaction history, saved payment methods, profile details).

How to Submit a Data Deletion Request

Option A: Delete Your Entire Account (Self-Service)

📍 Where to go: App or Website | ⏱ Processing Time: Immediate (for select data)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

On the WhapplePay App (iOS/Android):

Open the WhapplePay app & log in.

Tap on the profile tab

Select Delete Account

Choose "Delete Account Permanently".

Tap "Permanently delete" 

Done! You’ll see an on-screen confirmation and get an email summary.

On the WhapplePay Website:

Go to www.whapplepay.com/login and log in.

Click your Profile Icon 

Click on Delete account

Read the popup message

Click Delete Account if you want to delete

Success! A confirmation message will appear


Option B: Manual Request via Email

If you cannot access your account or prefer manual processing, email us at:

Subject Line: "Data Deletion Request – [Your Full Name]"

Required Information in Your Email:

Full name & registered email address.

Details of the specific data you want deleted.

Reason for deletion (optional but helpful for our records).

Processing Time & What Happens Next

Confirmation Email: You’ll receive an automated response within 24 hours acknowledging your request.

Review Period: Our team will verify your identity and process the request within 7 business days.

Completion Notice: Once done, we’ll send a final confirmation email.

Note: Some data may be retained if required by law, fraud prevention, or contractual obligations (e.g., transaction records for regulatory compliance).


 Requesting Account Deletion (Full Erasure)

Deleting your WhapplePay account will:

Permanently remove all personal data, including:

Profile details (name, email, phone number).

Saved payment methods & transaction history.

Access to WhapplePay services.

Cancel any pending transactions or subscriptions.

Option B: Email Request (If You Can’t Access Your Account)

Send an email to:

Subject Line: "Account Deletion Request – [Your Full Name]"

Required Information in Your Email:

Full name & registered email/phone number.

A clear statement: "I request the permanent deletion of my WhapplePay account and all associated data."

For security, we may request identity verification (e.g., a government-issued ID).

Processing Time & Important Notes

7-Day Waiting Period: For security, account deletion requests are processed after 7 days (you may cancel the request within this period).

Final Confirmation: Once processed, you’ll receive an email confirming full erasure.

Irreversible Action: After deletion, you cannot recover any data or reactivate the account.

Q1: Will deleting my account cancel pending transactions?

Yes. Ensure all pending payments or disputes are resolved before deletion.

Q2: Can I delete only certain data and keep my account?

Yes! Use the "Data Deletion Request" option to remove specific info without closing your account.

Q3: What if I change my mind after requesting deletion?

If the 7-day waiting period hasn’t passed, reply to our confirmation email to cancel the request.

Q4: Does WhapplePay store any data after deletion?
